How do I playback and watch footage on my wireless camera system?
Regardless of whether your system is recording continuously or with motion detection, watching your footage is the same process.
When new footage is available, a small yellow folder icon will flash at the top of the screen. To access the footage list, press the joystick while in the camera view. This will open the recording file list which will appear in the form of a calendar.
Here you can select the month and date you would like to view as well as the camera the footage was recorded from.
These selections are footage from all cameras or camera one to four individually.
Moving the joystick left and right will navigate through the menu options, moving the stick up and down will change the selection such as the month or whether a camera will search for footage. Pressing the joystick will confirm this change and refresh your search results.
Once the day you want to watch is highlighted in blue you can use the joystick to select the day. A list of recordings will appear with the date and time available. Use the joystick to navigate this list and select the file you would like to watch.
Once the video starts playing, it can be paused by moving the joystick down and played again by moving it up.
Moving the joystick left and right will fast forward or rewind the footage, pressing back or forward multiple times will increase the speed at which these functions will work.
The maximum rewind and faster forward speed is 16 times normal playback.
To delete files, you have two options, to delete individual files, in the recording list screen, highlight the footage you want to delete and press the Delete button on the monitor.
To clear the entire SD card, you can format the card. This will remove all footage from storage but will not affect any of your recording settings.
To Format the SD card, press the menu button, select Settings.
From the Settings menu, select Format Memory. To proceed, select Yes. When the process begins, a “Formatting, please wait” message will appear. Once complete, you will be returned to the Settings menu.
As an alternate option to watching footage on the included monitor, you can also use an SD card slot or USB card reader to watch footage directly on your computer or some televisions.
