Sentinel | How to Reset your Sentinel Password
Forgotten passwords happen, if you have forgotten your Defender Sentinel NVR password, you can easily reset it using your Security questions, email verification, or QR code.
If you have not set up a password for your NVR, leave the password blank and click okay to access your system.
If you did create a password and have forgotten it, click forgot password and enter the answers to your security questions.
If you are unable to reset your password using your security questions, please provide the information requested below.
At Defender, your peace of mind and security is what matters most to us and that is why we do require some additional information in order to provide you with a password! Once this information is received, we will be happy to provide you with an override password for your system!
1. Image of your Proof of Purchase or Photo ID (driver's license, passport, etc)
2. The date and time on the live view screen from the NVR
3. The Reset code from the NVR, to locate this please follow the steps below.
A. From the NVR right click and select System Setup
B. Leave the password blank and click OK.
C. You will see a pop-up with the number of guesses remaining, click OK.
4. Send a photo of this screen and remain on this screen until a password reset is provided.
Please do not navigate away from this screen or power off the system during the password reset process.
