Wireless HD | How to Pair a Camera to the Wireless Receiver
In this first-time setup video tutorial, we’ll take you through the process of connecting and pairing your Defender HD Wireless cameras to your DVR. Your Defender HD Wireless DVR is compatible with up to four WHDCB1 model wireless cameras.
When you first unpackage your Defender Wireless HD camera kit, in addition to the DVR and accessories, you will receive a wireless receiver with two antennas and the number of wireless cameras included with your bundle. It will be in a thin long box packaged on its own.
Once your DVR is set up where you want it, connect the receiver to the DVR using the attached USB cable. It can be connected to either USB port, but the rear port will keep your cables more organized.
By default, your cameras will be paired. If your cameras are not paired or are experience signal loss, these steps will help restore the connection.
You will need to be able to reach the camera to complete these steps. If the cameras are installed high up, it would be recommended to take them down first for safety purposes.
- From the live view, using the mouse, click the channel to which you will be pairing the camera.
- A menu will appear, the first button is the pairing icon.
- Click the pairing icon, a 30 second countdown will begin.
While the countdown is in progress, press and hold the pairing button on the back of the camera.
Once complete, the camera image will appear.
Repeat these steps for any other cameras that need to be paired.
