How many Guard Cloud subscriptions can I have per account?
The Guard App allows for up to 16 cameras per account. While there’s no limit to the number of
Guard Cloud subscriptions you can add, each subscription covers up to 6 cameras. If you have more
than 6 cameras, you can purchase multiple subscriptions.
What is Guard Cloud Enhanced AI Detection and how do I set it up?
The Enhanced AI Detection feature leverages cloud computing to enhance detection capabilities
for all Guard cameras. With this feature, you’ll receive alerts for human, vehicle, pet, and package
detection through your Defender Guard app. For newer Guard cameras equipped with human or
vehicle detection, Enhanced AI Detection minimizes false alarms using advanced algorithms. To
activate Enhanced AI Detection, simply subscribe to the Guard Cloud Elite plan—no further setup is
needed.
How do I redeem my Guard Cloud voucher?
Guard Cloud Vouchers can be redeemed in the Defender Guard App.
• Launch the Defender Guard App.
• Tap
• Tap on the Guard Cloud banner.
• Tap Voucher.
• Enter the Card Password on your physical or digital voucher, and tap OK.
How do I manage the cameras assigned to my current Guard Cloud plan?
• Launch the Defender Guard App.
• Tap
• Tap on the Guard Cloud banner.
• Tap My Plan.
• Select any In Service or Deactivated plans.
• Tap Manage Cameras.
• Select the cameras you wish to apply the Guard Cloud plan, and tap OK.
How can I add my Guard to an active Guard Cloud subscription plan?
You can assign any devices paired under your account to an active Guard Cloud plan on your
account by replacing an existing device on the plan, or when there are open device allocations. For
instance, if you purchased a 2-camera plan and have only had 1 camera assigned to the plan, you
can assign an additional camera to the plan. If 2 cameras are already added to a 2-camera plan, you
can replace one of the existing cameras with a new camera. Alternatively, you can purchase a new
Guard Cloud plan for the new camera.

How can I access my Guard Cloud Secure subscription billing history, invoice, and receipt?
You can access Guard Cloud billing history in the Defender Guard app.
• Launch the Defender Guard App.
• Tap
• Tap My Order.
• Tap Completed to see your billing history for Guard Cloud.

Can I upgrade my subscription plan from Starter to Elite?
You can’t directly upgrade your existing Guard Cloud Starter subscription to Guard Cloud Elite. If you
want to switch your cameras to a different Guard Cloud plan, you’ll need to cancel the automatic
renewal on your current plan before placing a new order.
IMPORTANT: When you apply the new plan to your camera(s), the previous plan will be deactivated.
Deactivated plans are saved on your account and will not expire. You have the option to reactivate them
for new or existing devices on your account.
How do I cancel my Guard Cloud plan’s automatic renewal?
To cancel automatic renewal on your current plan, follow the steps below.
• Launch the Defender Guard App.
• Tap
• Tap on the Guard Cloud banner.
• Tap My Plan.
• Tap your current Guard Cloud plan labeled “Automatic Renewal”. If you had previous ly
cancelled automatic renewal, your plan will not be labeled.
• Tap Cancel Automatic Renewal.
You can now buy a different Guard Cloud plan for your cameras. For instructions on setting up a
new plan visit Setting up your Guard Cloud.
Which cameras are compatible with Guard Cloud Starter and Elite?
All Defender Guard cameras are compatible with Guard Cloud Starter and Elite, including the
following models:
• Guard
• Guard Pro
• Guard Pro PTZ
• 4K Guard Pro
• 3K+ Guard Pro PTZ Dual-Lens
How do I cancel my Guard Cloud plan redeemed from a Voucher?
Plans redeemed from a voucher cannot be cancelled. However, should you remove your camera
from your account before the plan expires, it will be deactivated. Deactivated plans are saved on
your account and will not expire. You have the option to reactivate them for new or existing devices
on your account.
Can I transfer my Guard Cloud plan to a different account?
No, Guard Cloud plans can only be purchased for devices linked to the same account. However, you can share your device access with multiple users. Read more about sharing devices with a Guard Cloud plan below.
Can a shared user subscribe to Guard Cloud?
How do I transfer subscriptions from one Guard camera to another?
Active Guard Cloud subscriptions can be transferred between cameras paired under your account. To change the devices under your Guard Cloud plans, visit How do I manage the cameras assigned to my current Guard Cloud plan?
How do Guard Cloud and a microSD card differ?
Using a microSD card: Recording to a microSD card gives you the ability to record continuously. For users who would like to have continuous recording locally, microSD card is the perfect choice.
Using Guard Cloud: A subscription to Guard Cloud gives you more than just recordings, it gives you the peace of mind knowing all of your motion recordings are backed-up to the cloud. Recordings are uploaded to Defender’s secure Guard Cloud in real time over the internet. Cloud recordings can be accessed anytime, anywhere, even if your cameras are offline. With Guard Cloud Elite, you also receive Enhanced AI Detection which gives you recordings focused on motion events only, no scrolling through footage to find what really matters.

Can a shared user subscribe to Guard Cloud?
No, only the account owner can subscribe to a Guard Cloud plan for their cameras. Shared users cannot manage a Guard Cloud subscription such as managing cameras under the plan, cancelling an automatic subscription, making payments or changing cloud recording or detection settings. Shared users do have access to cloud recordings and enhanced AI detection alerts from the shared device if it has an active Guard Cloud plan.
