Configure Notification Settings
- On the Home Screen, tap the Settings icon on the camera you wish to edit.
- Select Events.
Repeat these steps for each camera you wish to configure.
Event Settings
Events
Enable or disable event detection.
- Enabled: The camera detects events, records clips, and can send notifications.
- Disabled: The camera will not detect events, record event clips, or send notifications.
Alarm Event
Choose which events will trigger notifications.
- Motion Detected – Receive notifications whenever motion is detected.
- Person Detected – Receive notifications only when a person is detected.
- Vehicle Detected – Receive notifications when a vehicle is detected. Available with supported Cloud Plans only.
Notifications
Enable or disable event push notifications for the selected camera.
Detection Area
Create a custom detection area to monitor only the areas that matter most.
- Select Detection Area.
- Tap the + icon to create a custom detection area.
- Adjust the detection area as desired.
- Tap Save to apply your changes.
Only one detection area can be configured per camera. To remove the detection area, tap the Trash Can icon.
Display Detection Area
Enable this option to display the detection area with an outline during Live View and Playback.
- Enabled: The detection area is visible on screen.
- Disabled: The detection area remains active but is hidden from view.
Siren Settings
The Defender Go 24/7 includes a built-in siren that can be sounded manually from the app or triggered automatically when an event is detected.
To enable or disable the camera's siren when supported events are detected:
- On the Home Screen, tap the Settings icon on the camera you wish to edit.
- Select Events.
- Tap Siren Settings to access the Siren Settings.
- Toggle on the Siren to access the options.
- Choose a System Sound or record your custom voice message.
- Tap Back (<) to save your changes.
The siren sounds immediately when activated.
Add a Customized Message
Record a custom voice message to be played when motion is detected.
- From the Alarm Siren screen, tap the + icon next to Add a Customized Voice.
- Record your message.
- Select your recording as the siren sound.
